The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
We will plan a church wedding ceremony in the Church of the Assumption of Mary together with you and according to your wishes. The ceremony can take place according to a Catholic, Evangelical or Orthodox rite. During the wedding ceremony, the church is closed to other visitors.

A touch of culinary heritage
The ceremony is followed by a feast with traditional sweet or savoury poticas, a selected culinary offer and drinks. Feasting takes place on the outdoor platform, and in case of bad weather in the gallery in Bled Island Provost’s house (Proštija).

With the bride in his arms
The southern stone staircase is a challenge for many grooms, who carry their future wives in their arms up all the 99 stair steps. By this act, the groom shows his maturity and willingness for a solid marriage on a symbolic level.
Invocations and hope
By ringing the Wishing Bell after the wedding ceremony, the newly-weds usually commend themselves to Mary Queen and God. A deep devotion to the faith and many desires for a solid marriage status echo through the invocation.

On Fridays and Saturdays, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Other dates by agreement.

Many visitors to the shrine, who have always gone on pilgrimage to the island, love the Wishing Bell. When they ring the bell, they commend themselves to the Mother of God and hand over their wishes and requests in faith that she will fulfil them.
